Student surprises teacher with invite to her graduation 20 years after she wrote "invite me to your Harvard graduation" on her report card (photos)
20 years ago, a 6th-grade teacher wrote in a bright student's report card, "invite me to your Harvard graduation!". Years later, just as the teacher predicted, the student graduated from Harvard and surprised her teacher by visiting her in class to invite her to her graduation.
Christin Gilmer graduated from Harvard as a doctor of public health. Prior to her graduation, she went back to her alma mater and surprised her teacher as she was in class teaching. As soon as the teacher saw Christin, she recognized her and was in shock, so much so that she had goose bumps all over her body.
They hugged and Christin reminded her of the kind words she wrote on her report card 20 years ago. She gave her a bouquet of flowers then told her she has come to invite her for her Harvard graduation.
On Christin's graduation day, her former teacher was present and they posed together for a picture which has now gone viral.
