21-year-old South African midfielder, Luyanda Ntshangase dies after getting?struck by lightning
Midfielder Luyanda Ntshangase from South African top-flight side Maritzburg United died today, two months after being struck by lightning during a friendly fixture.

The promising 21-year-old had been in an induced coma since the March 1st incident and the club said he had succumbed to his injuries in a statement released today.

“We are extremely sad about the loss of Luyanda, an exciting young player with enormous potential,” Maritzburg chairman Farook Kadodia said in a statement.  

Ntshangase, who made his debut against Kaizer Chiefs in October 2016, is the third Maritzburg player to perish in a little more than two years after midfielders Mondli Cele, 27, and Mlondi Dlamini, 20, died in separate car accidents

EPL: Martin Keown shuns Hazard, identifies player key to Chelsea’s success this season

Former Arsenal defender, Martin Keown, has identified Chelsea defender, David Luiz ahead of forward, Eden Hazard and other stars, as the player who holds the key to the Blues’ success this season. Luiz fell out with with former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte last season, after his side’s 3-0 defeat to Roma in the Champions League in October. The 31-year-old was dropped from Chelsea’s starting XI by Conte. The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has said that some human trafficking syndicate are planning to use the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia to traffic Nigerian youths out of the country.
